The Good Book

14 But you must continue with the things you have learned and found convincing. You know who taught you. 15 Since childhood you have known the holy scriptures that help you to be wise in a way that leads to salvation through faith that is in Christ Jesus.

16 Every scripture is inspired by God and is

useful for teaching, for showing mistakes, for correcting, and for training character, 17 so that the person who belongs to God can be equipped to do everything that is good.

(2 Timothy 3:14–17)

Inspired by God

Good Day Family,

Many of you know that our Bible Study class has been studying “How to Study the Bible.” We began with the Lord’s Prayer. Then, we explored the Sermon on the Mount. Currently, we are studying the Book of Genesis. We have discussed how the scriptures have come to be and how we should approach them. Unlike other faith traditions, Christians do not believe that God dictated the words of the sacred text.

The Bible was narrated, shared orally first and then written down, by human beings inspired by the Holy Spirit. God works through people and reveals Godself through people. The ultimate revelation of God is Jesus Christ, God as a human person. If God moves through people, then what is God inspiring in you? How does God desire that you use the life that you have in order to bring glory to God and show God to the world?

Inspired,

Be Well,

Pastor Cheryl

Let us encourage one another. Let us love our neighbor. Let us be the church.
