Pastor's Note 11.08.19

Good Day Family,

“Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.” – Philippians 1:3

I am so grateful to be officially installed as your Pastor and Teacher! It was a marvelous service and reception. Thank you to everyone who planned, prepared, and participated. Thank you for the gifts and expressions of love that I received. Thank you for being such a loving and wonderful congregation. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The work continues – the ministry and mission of Jesus Christ. Having called us together, God truly has a plan and a purpose for First Church in this community in this season. Pray with me for God to use us and continue to bind us together in love.

If you haven’t yet joined us in Tuesday evening Bible Study (6:30 pm throughout November), it’s not to late to enter the conversation. We continue to pray together on Wednesday morning. If you can’t join us, send your prayer concerns, and we will lift them up. During Advent, we will share in Bible Study with our friends at First Methodist on Wednesday evenings, and I will provide a daily directed devotion for you to use throughout the season.

The Lord our God is in our midst. O give thanks!

Be well,

Pastor Cheryl
